Obituary of Bernard John Golden

Bernard John Golden, 78, passed away suddenly the morning of September 16th. He suffered cardiac arrest after being in the hospital for a short time with illness.

John loved his family, spending time with his friends, helping relatives and loved ones, and thoroughly enjoyed his hobbies. He was a great son, a caring brother, a loving husband, a father to two children, an amazing uncle, and a grandpa who loved his grandkids endlessly.

John was born in Baldwinsville NY, on June 1st, 1946. Growing up in the town of B’ville, John attended and graduated from Baldwinsville High School in 1964 and then furthered his studies to Central City Business Institute (CCBI) where he gained an Associate’s Degree in accounting. John passionately worked 32 years for Motorola. He acquired a large list of accolades in his time with the company including the Salesman of the Year and joining the $1,000,000 club in 1979. In 1982, John earned the same two accolades, helping pave the pathway to his retirement in 2001. John was also a dedicated brother for over 50 years to the Tigris Shriners of Syracuse, as he also became the treasurer later down the line of his commitment. John was a hardworking man who was never afraid to get his hands dirty, sacrificed his time for others, and always took pride in what he did.

His parents, Joyce Wedlock (10/26/80) and Bernard James Golden (10/29/93), his stepmom Josephine J. Golden, his mother-in-law Rita L. Hanley (11/2/21) , and his father-in-law Joseph Hanley (10/21/96), preceded John in death.
