Obituary of Gloria Anne Danesi

Gloria Anne Danesi beloved wife mother and grandmother left us gracefully and peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday April 7th to join our Lord and Savior after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was 75 yrs in age. Gloria is survived by her loving and devoted family which includes her Husband Lorenzo, Daughter Carla(Daniel Paul Crown), Son Domenico, Daughter in Law Leslee and Six Grandchildren in birth order: Bria, Lorenzo, Selah, Judaea, Gabriel and Evangelina. Gloria was a loving, kind, devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother and devout Christian woman who brought Great Love and Joy to anyone that was blessed and fortunate enough to know her.Gloria leaves the lasting legacy and honor of being a Catalyst for new and better medicine for Alzheimer's disease through her daughter Carla's love and devotion to her which is expressed through advocacy for Alzheimer's research. Foremost in the fight for better Alzheimer's medicine is the compound J147 which Carla is a proponent of in Gloria's honor and with the Lord's help will soon come to fruition. Gloria was born in Texas, where her father was from and later moved to Boston Massachusetts where her mother was from. Her parents met during the Second World War while her father was a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy stationed in Boston Massachusetts. Gloria' s mother came from a loving Italian family of seventeen brothers and sisters. While she was very young Gloria met her husband Lorenzo while having dinner at an italian restaurant located in Boston’s Northend which is known as “Little Italy.” She married Lorenzo and moved to the Roch NY area where they had and raised their two children. Gloria was a certified nurse’s aide and cared for many sick people during her lifetime with compassion and grace. She was also a wonderful lifelong homemaker. Gloria loved and cherished God, her family, her friends, life itself and everyone she met. She made friends very easily. She loved to travel. Gloria loved all means of travel but her very favorite was the train because she liked to view the scenery upclose of different places. She took many trips on Amtrak over her lifetime. Gloria brought light and laughter wherever she went. Gloria was loved beyond measure and will be profoundly and sadly missed. Friends and family may call on April 30 12-2:30PM in All Season's Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road Pittsford, where a service will be held at 2:30PM. Entombment for Gloria into a Crypt will follow the service which is her precise and final wish. In lieu of flowers, cards and other messages of condolence are being received at the service or mailed to: 141 W. Commercial Street Apt. A East Roch, N.Y. 14445
