I will always hold memories of Mrs. Steuerwald dear to my heart. She gifted me a prayer plant when she was my fifth grade Sunday School teacher. That plant followed me into adulthood faithfully folding up each night and opening in prayerful leaves each morning. I last saw Anna several years ago at BLC. I was 8 months pregnant and needed to leave the Sunday church service to cool off in the basement. She followed me and we had a lovely time joyfully supporting one another.
