Obituary of Richard Hooker, III

     Richard was born in New Haven, CT, on March 12, 1946 and died on February 8, 2026.  He is survived by his wife, Donna (Sisca); his sister, Ellen Hooker (Joseph Cassano); brother, Jonathan Hooker; sister-in-law, Diane Rikkers; nieces and nephews, Margaret Hooker (Kettie Norton), Victoria Hooker (Derek Felker), Bradley Hooker, Scott (Laura) Rikkers, Cheryl Rikkers, Kevin (Karen) Rikkers; great-nephews, Benjamin and Jackson Rikkers; numerous cousins.

  Richard graduated from Foote School (New Haven, CT), Hamden Hall (Hamden, CT), Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ) and received his Masters Degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.  He moved from Connecticut after graduating from college and went to work at Eastman Kodak Company for 29 years until his retirement.

 Richard's loves were science, photography, skiing and the Adirondacks.  He was know among his friends as an expert photographer, developing film in his home darkrooms and being the official photographer for the two groups that he loved, the Monroe Ski Club and the Rochester International Film Festival.

  A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 1:00pm in All Season's Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park.
